Named the American Guild of Organists’ Distinguished Composer for 2016, David Ashley White was also awarded the 2015 Esther Farfel Award from the University of Houston, the university’s highest honor for teaching and creative work. In July 2015, he was awarded the Raabe Prize for Excellence in Sacred Composition.

This is the second recording of his music by the Choirs of Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church on Gothic. (See G-49294, "Spirit, Moving over Chaos")
