Few pipe organs in history have received as much attention as the iconic "Hazel,"  the organ of Christ Cathedral (Garden Grove, CA), formerly the Crystal Cathedral. The Good:  great selection if Music. Talented Playing by David Ball...Great to see The Hazel Refurbished & Playing again.  The Bad:  in my opinion....I Was Dis-appointed in the Overall Quality if the Recorded Sound..    I felt the Recorded Sound lacked clarity of Tone & is more a Big Mush of sound. Comparing This New Recording to Those Gothic Did back in the 80's with Fred Swann..the older Recordings i find better..Tonally. Perhaps a Revised Recording Technique/Review is needed.

One should also note that the organ and the church's acoustics have dramatically changed since the Swann recordings, which, by the way, are still offered in our catalog.
