Our
first SINGLE, this is a remix of track 15 from our album G-49295 ("The
Call: A Concert for Veteran's Day"). Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the
U.S.A." has been covered in different styles by many famous artists
(including Beyoncé). This spirited performance is by Andrew Wilson, and includes the 55-voice Willamette Master Chorus directed by Paul Klemme.

"Spirit of Freedom" has received critical acclaim in all the major publications (Fanfare, American Record Guide, etc.) Several of the tracks have been featured on a PBS series called "Freedom: A History of US." In addition, those same tracks have been featured on a soundtrack recording and companion anthology released by SONY records. Gothic's original recording "The Spirit of Freedom" is the best anthology available of patriotic songs and the only complete recording containing all four verses of the Star Spangled Banner.

Taken from a decade of Veterans Day concerts by Paul Klemme and the Willamette Master Chorus, this program honors those who have served in the armed forces of the United States of America. "the Call", which was commissioned by the choir, is by Dave Metzger, widely known for his many arrangements and orchestrations for films such as "Training Day", "August Rush", "Frozen" and the Broadway production of "The Lion King" --- for which he won a Tony Award nomination.
